Jensen Blackbird 10-40 - Supercab IR Library (1216 IRS)

The Blackbird 10-40 is a completely new 10”, 40W speaker, with a 1.25” copper-wound voice coil and the exclusive “Reinforced AlNiCo” magnet design that Jensen introduced with the highly successful Blackbird 12-40. The Blackbird 10-40 in fact behaves as if it was loaded with a much bigger, more expensive and heavier magnet, with a better control of the lower bass range and a higher overall efficiency of the speaker itself.
The Blackbird 10-40 is designed to provide a distinct vintage voice, founded on a strong, firm bass range, with a musical midrange and detailed yet smooth trebles. Together with the iconic chime and sparkle and the immediacy that are typical of a classic 10” AlNiCo, the Blackbird 1-40 is perfectly suitable for both classic and modern applications, up to higher gain and overdriven tones. All these different personalities are brilliantly exploited by Overloud’s high-resolution capturing process, with 19 microphones in 16 positions each, mounted on both a 1x10" and 2x10" cabinets.

Jensen Vintage Ceramic C15K - Supercab IR Library (608 IRs)

This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Vintage Ceramic C15K speaker, from the Vintage Series, installed on a 1x15" open back enclosure, for a total of 608 IRs, developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.

The C15K is the contemporary version of the C15N and offers one of the fullest sounding tones in the entire range. With powerful basses, rich in the whole midrange and smooth but extended in the treble range, the C15K is a first choice for traditional jazz players, as well as for fusion and roots rock styles. Overloud’s proprietary capturing with 19 mics in 16 positions showcases the versatility of the C15K.

Jensen Vintage Ceramic C12R - Supercab IR Library (1216 IRs)

This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Vintage Ceramic C12R speaker, from the Vintage Series, installed in two different enclosures:

  • a 1x12" Open Back cabinet
  • a 2x12" Open Back cabinet

for a total of 1216 IRs, developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.

Typically used in the vintage lower powered 12” amps for studio or practice, the C12R is a clear sounding, sparkling speaker, very sensitive to the character of amplifier. When paired with a stout, rich and warm electronic design it can do wonders. Ampeg® Jets and Reverberockets are just some of the most revered amps that carried C12R as their factory choice. Installed in a vintage correct selection of cabinets, the C12R shines in each of the 19 microphones and 16 position capturing.

Jensen Vintage Ceramic C12K2 Compact Cabs - Supercab IR Library (912 IRs)

This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Vintage Ceramic C12K2 Compact Cabs speaker, from the Vintage Series, installed in three different enclosures:

  • a 1x12" Open Back cabinet
  • a 1x12" Closed Back cabinet
  • a 1x12" Bass Reflex cabinet

for a total of 912 IRs, developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.

The C12K2 is a step forward from the C12K. It has a different cone membrane which grants a more extended treble response to increase the detail and the shimmer of the tone, yet retains a well contoured smoothness. Equally at home with clean and mid-gain crunch tones, the C12K2 offers an outstanding response to the player’s touch. When used with higher gain tones, it offers a powerful, rounded, organic tone that delivers a full-bodied thickness to single note lead runs. Overloud captured the C12K2 in a fine-tuned selection of compact and large cabinets, with their trademark 19 microphones / 16 position process.

Jensen Vintage Ceramic C12K2 Large Cabs - Supercab IR Library (912 IRs)

Jensen Vintage Alnico P15N - Supercab IR Library (608 IRs)

This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Vintage Alnico P15N speaker, from the Vintage Series, installed in a 1x15" Open Back enclosure, for a total of 608 IRs, developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.

One of the first speakers ever used in a guitar amplifier, the P15N was loaded in the earliest Fender Bassman™ and Bandmaster™  amps, setting the milestone for those classic tones. The P15N delivers a warm, full bodied tone, with deep basses, and a nice, extended top end. Excellent for all different shades of clean and pushed clean tones. Captured in the classic 19 microphones/16 positions Overloud process.

Jensen Vintage Alnico P12Q - Supercab IR Library (1216 IRs)

This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Vintage Alnico P12Q speaker, from the Vintage Series, installed in two different enclosures:

  • a 1x12" Open Back cabinet
  • a 2x12" Open Back cabinet

for a total of 1216 IRs, developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.

The P12Q is a lower power sibling to the P12N, with a smaller voice coil and a vintage steel basket, nicknamed the “hot dog” or “sausage” basket, because of the shape of the openings in its frame. Warm and balanced sounding, with a nice bite in the upper midrange, it is a very interesting allrounder, for many different applications from country and jazz tones to more aggressive rock and roll and blues application. Typically found in ‘holy grail’ amps such as the vintage Tweed Deluxe™ and other similar models as well as the Ampeg® Jet, Gibson® GA-20 and many more. The capture shows its superb tonal qualities in each of the 16 positions of Overloud’s 19-microphone array.

Jensen Vintage Alnico P10R-F - Supercab IR Library (1216 IRs)

This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Vintage Alnico P10R-F speaker, from the Vintage Series, installed in two different enclosures:

  • a 1x10" Open Back cabinet
  • a 2x10" Open Back cabinet

for a total of 1216 IRs, developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.

Not strictly a “reissue” speaker, the P10R-F was born as a special edition of the P10R, developed in cooperation with Fender®, for the Custom Shop ’57 BandMaster™ and the 20th Anniversary Vibro-King™ amps. By means of a different cone membrane, the P10R-F has a warmer, ‘aged’ tone, and breaks up in a sweet, progressive manner. A very unique speaker for true Tone-Connoiseurs, captured in two vintage-built cabinets, by the typical array of 19 microphones in 16 positions.

Jensen Tornado Stealth 80 Large Cabs - Supercab IR Library (912 IRS)

This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Tornado Stealth 80 Large Cabs speaker, from the Jet Series, installed in three different enclosures:

The Tornado Stealth 80 may well be the Neodymium sibling of the ceramic powered Electric Lightning. It is extremely efficient, with slightly scooped mids, and it shines in the cleanest as well as in the heaviest tonal applications. The TR S 80 delivers exceptional punch and attack, retaining all the clarity needed for palm-muted riffs and power chords, as well as crystal clear clean rhythm playing. Captured in a selection of modern build cabinets, by 19 Microphones in 16 positions each, it’s a great example of a modern voiced speaker, tuned for contemporary applications.
